Hope you’re enjoying the start of fall! It’s such a lovely season, full of fresh starts, new beginnings, changing leaves and holiday celebrations.

I’ve got less than 2 weeks left of living in Manhattan before the Fenig family heads to the mountains of the Berkshires – Great Barrington, Massachusetts to be exact. I’ve spent these final weeks celebrating, saying goodbye to my home of the last 11 years, soaking up my favorite NYC experiences, and seeing as many friends as I can.

This move has really stirred up a lot for me and put me face to face with fear, doubt, joy, excitement and faith. With any change, you’re going to go through those moments of “holy crap, what am I doing?”. Change can be so unnerving, so unsettling … can make you feel very raw and exposed. On the flip side, transition can feel liberating, freeing and fabulous … a real chance for reinvention and welcoming in a new chapter.

How do you handle change?

To help me manage the changes of the season, I’ve chosen a THEME … essentially an anchor to come back to when things get a little hairy and overwhelming (and they have and they will).

My theme is: FEARLESS FLYING. It’s inspired by the following quote by Edward Teller, which is one of my all-time favorites:

“When you get to the end of all the light you know and it’s time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.”

This THEME concept was introduced to our amazing women in the fall Inner Mama Mastery Program and they have come up with beautiful themes to guide them through this season. Themes like:

  • Think Positive Inspiration
  • Play
  • Survival
  • Commit Yourself To Constant Self Improvement
  • Chrysalis (transformation)

I invite you to choose your THEME for the fall. Something to inspire you, guide you, anchor you, move you forward with grace, style and faith.

Don’t hold back … just let loose on your unique theme and put it in a place where you’ll see if OFTEN. I have mine on a big Post-It note at my desk. I see it everyday. It’s powerful. Try it.

Would love to hear your theme for the season!
