I was wrong.
I got it wrong.
As a recovering perfectionist, it feels good to admit when I’m wrong.
Let me explain …
A few months back, I attended an amazing 2-day workshop led by one of my mentors. The investment was $6,500.
And while the price was significant, I simply knew that life was presenting me with this opportunity to grow. I couldn’t not go.
Going to the workshop changed my life and business path forever. That’s what live events do for you. Pure magic.
And along the way, I got the idea to significantly increase the price of my annual event called ALCHEMY Live from our 2014 prices.
This was the 5th year in a row I was producing and hosting an event, and I honestly was getting burned out by the amount of work that went into it and how low the industry set the bar for workshop ticket prices. It’s a bit crazy!
So my ego + entrepreneurial self told me it was time to buck that trend.
So I launched ALCHEMY Live, essentially doubling the price from the year before.
While it made logical and fiscal sense, it didn’t feel right in my body. Not at all. It wasn’t the right container for the new price point.
Sometimes learning is painful. Often it’s liberating.
2015 has been a huge year of personal and spiritual growth for me.
I started working with an amazing psychotherapist for a powerful form of therapy called EMDR. This helps release trauma from the body. I have been carrying trauma in my body for 22 years due to my sister’s death from cancer and it was time to unhook from the emotional trauma.
The EMDR has been powerful and soul freeing.
So much so that it has set me up for something I never could have imagined: a spiritual awakening.
I had my first one of these at 25 years old after I’d had a panic attack at my New York City public relations agency. It was then that I surrendered and developed a relationship with spirit.
It hasn’t always been a straight line, this connection with spirit.
But anytime I fall out of practice with listening, I always get pulled back often getting hit on the head with a 2×4 spirit stick.
I’m now in the midst of this sacred wake-up call where I’m seeing the world in ways I’ve never seen before.
Connections are being made in my brain.
Old wounds and pains are healing.
Synchronicities are happening that blow me away.
I’m meeting spiritual teachers, mentors and guides.
Miracles are everywhere.
What the Universe wants for me has become more important than what I “think” I want for me. I’m walking out on faith more than I ever have. I trust life and my call to be of the highest service.
And this is where the “I was wrong” realization comes in and how it affects you.
And to make that vision a reality, I’ve lowered the price of ALCHEMY Live to make it easier on your wallet. I know that many gals in my crew are newbie entrepreneurs (or are looking to make a transition) and cash flow may be an issue.
It simply felt like the right thing to do especially given that 2015 is the final year I will be hosting ALCHEMY Live.
