About Jenny Fenig
My Story
I use my experience as a successful corporate communicator, life/business coach, and yoga teacher/student to guide women to get clarity about what they want most in their lives, then empower them to build the confidence to create their ideal career, business, family and self. I remind them that they can have anything they want as long as they have a vision, believe in their value and commit to taking action. Most importantly, they must have faith, get help, and be willing to get out of their own way.
The goal? Aligning values with action steps … and achieving continuous improvement in all aspects of life. How do we get there? By redesigning your outlook, reprogramming your default tendencies, clearly articulating what you want, releasing the fear that is holding you back, and taking action. Action is the antithesis of fear … plain and simple.
I absolutely love what I do. But it wasn’t always like this…
How did I get here?
Experiencing one of my life goals: Walking the Great Wall of China.
A LESSON ON LOSS
Dealt a tragic loss at 16 with the death of my younger sister from cancer, I learned early on that life is short. After many long, painful years coming to terms with Julie’s death, I committed myself to living the fullest, healthiest, most meaningful life possible… and encouraging others to do the same.

In 2010, I partnered with my parents to create the Julie Amon Dolphins of Strength Scholarship in my sister’s honor. Awarding this scholarship to deserving high school students who are battling health challenges is a highlight of my life.
CAREER EVOLUTION
I started my career as a communications manager for Kick Butts Day, an initiative to curb kids’ tobacco use, while still a student at the University of Florida. Upon graduating summa cum laude with a public relations degree, I moved to the bright lights of New York City to become a PR practitioner for a top agency, representing clients like Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, M&M’s, Hershey, Polaroid, and Kellogg. I traveled around the globe spreading the messages of my clients, racking up frequent flier miles and developing life-long relationships with amazing people.
But … something … was … missing. This nagging voice kept telling me I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. If public relations wasn’t what I was looking for (and I thought I was SUCH a PR girl), what was?
I felt lost and scared. In an act of desperation and “I’ve gotta get out of here,” I posted my resume on job sites and hoped for the best. That’s when my next career came calling: as a conference producer, a job I had NEVER heard about until I was called for an interview.
I decided to accept this fast-paced position as a creator of top-notch business conferences attended by the best and brightest. I researched interesting (most of the time!) topics, recruited corporate leaders as speakers, and had the pleasure of booking legendary speakers like peak performance expert Tony Robbins, Secretary of State Colin Powell, management guru Tom Peters, Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, and best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell. I was at the top of my game, but again not completely fulfilled professionally.
I felt like I had done everything I could do there and it was time to move on, but to what? This idea weighed on my mind way too much. I wasn’t sure where to turn.
LIGHT-BULB MOMENT
On my 30th birthday, I was on a business trip walking alone amongst the crowds and the lights on The Strip in Las Vegas. Although happily married and making 6-figures in my job, a message hit me loud and clear on that day: “What are you doing? Where are you going?” I knew I wasn’t living the life I was supposed to be living and I couldn’t deny it any longer. I made a pact with myself to make a major career shift by the end of that year…
Where did I turn first? My sanctuary: yoga. After 7 years of consistent yoga practice, I decided to undergo 200 hours of training to receive my yoga teaching certification from the famed Sonic Yoga in New York City. I loved what yoga did for my body, and most importantly, my mind. The training process was very intense, introspective and enlightening. Near the end of the program I developed the courage to do what I was put on earth to do: elevate the energy and consciousness of the world, one person at a time. Leaving the safety and security of a full-time job behind, I resigned.
After spending time at an ashram (a yogic community … yes, I was having my own “Eat Pray Love” experience), talking with family and friends, and reconnecting with myself, I decided to build the next phase of my career – dubbed by a close friend “Jenny Fenig 2.0″ – around inspiring others to embrace their power and live their best life. I completed my professional coach training with the amazing Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
LIVING AUTHENTICALLY
I’m now an entrepreneur, still happily married (my husband Steven and I get to spend more time together now than ever), and mother to an amazing son named Sean and three cute kitties Cricket, Cali and Jezzy. My biggest priorities – family, peace of mind and freedom – are at center stage in my life. I have translated my passion for personal development and PLAYING BIG into a business that I love.
Priority #1: My wonderful family.
My amazing cats who remind me about the importance of relaxation.
MY BUSINESS FOCUS
I’ve created a 3-step process to achieve maximum impact with my clients. This tends to resonate most with female entrepreneurs and corporate women who have experienced substantial success in their lives but feel that something is missing. Clients come to me because they want to bring the PURPOSE back into what they do and create a business/career that allows them to reclaim their sanity, smarts, sexiness and sense of self.
Many of my clients are moms and are drawn to my work with mothers. I launched a series of support groups in New York City in partnership with babybites when my son was only 4 months old. I also created the Inner Mama Mastery Program, a transformational experience for moms who want to reclaim themselves in the chaos of modern motherhood in just 90 days.
I’m PASSIONATE about supporting women in getting what they want. My process …
Step 1: VALUES + VISION = VICTORY / Get clear on your values, your vision and your “why” (essentially, your purpose). This is powerful, deep stuff that is crucial to you finding happiness, fulfillment and sustainable success. It’s the critical inner work that makes you or breaks you.
Step 2: SAYING YES TO SAYING NO: IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU / Learn how to manage your energy, steer clear of negative influences, say no to things that don’t fill you up, disappoint people when necessary and start taking action on the most profitable, purpose-driven projects possible. You’d be amazed at how many women are exhausted and resentful because they’ve been living the life that they think they are “supposed to be living” and have lost themselves in the process. This step stops that vicious cycle.
Step 3: BUILDING AN ENTOURAGE: DON’T GO IT ALONE / This is all about consciously building your team of supporters who can hold you up in creating your ideal life and business. No one can do it alone. Learn how to ask for help, be creative, stop being a martyr, and stop making excuses. Step 3 exposes you to the millionaire mindset where you learn to make decisions based on where you WANT to be, not where you are NOW. It’s a total shift and one that changes your life for the better … forever.
Remember: what you want is yours for the taking …
MY LIFE PURPOSE
My personal evolution has led me to take purposeful risks to live my mission. No risk, no reward, right? The payoff has been HUGE. This was all possible through my conscious decision to create a life that revolves around my gifts and passions.
Taking the time to put my life purpose down on paper was a powerful process for me. I love working with my clients to capture theirs, too. Here’s mine:
I, Jenny Fenig, hear, see, feel and know that the purpose of my life is to be a powerful soul, to enjoy the present moment with grace and gratitude, and to inspire myself and others.
What’s your life purpose? How well are you living your purpose on a daily basis? Take a few moments to think about it.
PRACTICING GRATITUDE
Thank you to the many teachers, family, friends, clients and students who have supported me on my journey. To have such amazing people in my life is a priceless gift.
