So I decided to make a fitness a priority no matter how much was happening in my life.

Okay … so I KNOW you MAY have some questions before you dive in.
So let me answer the top ones I’ve been getting. And you can always listen to my interview with the amazing Amanda Tress here to get more of a flavor of this FASTer Way lifestyle.
How long does the program last?
6 weeks. But really 7 weeks as the first week is called PREP WEEK. That’s when you are simply getting the hang of the program. You aren’t required to actually DO any of the practices yet.
If you truly commit, the speed in which you’ll see results will amaze you.
So you don’t eat in the morning until 11 a.m. or noon? That sounds so hard! I’m so hungry in the morning!
Girl, I hear you. When I first learned about this intermittent fasting concept, I thought I would die because I thought I HAD to eat first thing in the morning or else I would be super HANGRY. But intermittent fasting is actually so easy. Your body goes from being a sugar burner to a fat burner. You can ease in to the practice. The key is to eat over an 8-hour window each each day (and to keep your body in a fasted state for 12 hours daily). You are going to be amazed at what happens!
I break my fast between 11 am and 12 pm each day (I keep it flexible like that based on my schedule – this is what works for me).
My tips for you on making this work >> In the morning, drink a lot of water. Drink your cup of coffee or tea (I’m a tea girl myself!). And focus your energy on other things besides food. Revel in the power of discipline. Then celebrate when it’s time to break your fast by eating food that fuels you (you’ll learn the best foods to eat for the various days of the nutrition cycle). Eat intelligently throughout the day and be ready to stop eating after your 8 hours (for me, I stop eating by 7 or 8 pm each day).

What does a typical week look like?
Amanda provides guideline for each day of the food cycle. There are 3 categories of the food cycle > low carb, regular macro, low macro. For example, on low carb day Amanda will indicate that your goal is to consume less than 50g net carbs. Amanda will explain how to calculate your macros (carbs, fats, protein) and also give you a sample meal plan and recipes. However, you will have the flexibility to consume the foods you truly enjoy.
The workout lengths vary depending on the day. This plan is meant to be sustainable and Amanda does not expect you to spend hours working out. We generally incorporate exercise 5 days per week and rest 2 days per week.
You will receive the workouts each week via an online portal. You can pull the portal up on your phone and even print the workout if desired. The workouts are written out and each move is linked to a video demonstration.
My kids often join me for the workouts. It’s been amazing for my family!
Can I drink coffee?
Yes. I don’t (it’s not my thing!), but you totally can.
Can I drink alcohol?
Yes. Again, I don’t (that ship has sailed in my life!), but as long as your alcohol intake fits within your macronutrient goals on a particular day, you can drink alcohol.
I’m vegan. Can I join?
Yes, the Faster Way is vegan-friendly.
Do I have to purchase supplements or shakes to participate?
No, nothing extra is required. And I love that part! In Week 4, you’re given the option to do a 24-hour juice cleanse or a 24-hour water fast. I opted for the juice cleanse (purchased the juices Amanda suggested) and it was powerful (and challenging!).
Do I have to belong to a gym?
No. You totally can, but I don’t! I do the at-home workouts with this equipment > dumbbells (sets of these pounds of weights 3, 5, 8, 10, 15), a kettlebell (20 pound), a medicine ball (8 pound), and some exercise bands.
And the workouts are not the highest priority with this lifestyle. NUTRITION is. You’ll see how it all works once you decide to give it a go. Simply be open and go for it.
What are the workouts like?
Amazing, efficient, fun. You’ll see. They last 30 – 60 minutes (and you can modify!). And also they are OPTIONAL. You can focus on NUTRITION exclusively in your first round if that’s where you are and you’ll see great results and can layer in workouts in future rounds if you decide to continue (you probably will!).
Can I still swim / practice yoga / go to my favorite fitness class, etc?
Yes, with a caveat. My suggestion is that you follow the workout plans that you are given in this program as there is a reason you are drawn HERE instead of simply continuing what you’re doing.
I really committed to the workouts (even though I didn’t think I liked working out … I simply am not a fan of gyms – lol!) and then layered in my favorite yoga classes to supplement what I was doing with the FASTer Way. I feel incredible.
What if I’m nursing? I guess I can’t join because this will affect my milk supply?
The FASTer Way to Fat Loss is designed to fuel your body in a way that is perfectly safe for nursing moms. (Amanda Tress is still nursing her 3rd baby.)
Do I have to be on Facebook to participate?
No, but that’s where the community is hosted. Most clients choose to join a Facebook community group for daily tips and accountability. While it’s recommend you join a Facebook group, it is not required for participation in the program.

Why do you love this so much, Jenny?
Well, I’ll tell you. It’s given me SO much. Discipline, focus, energy, happiness, a stronger marriage. Plus, my kids see me prioritizing my health ahead of my work (truth talk!). I exercise 4 to 5 days a week and have never felt better. And I know what to eat and when. This wisdom has given me so much peace and confidence.
