MY HEART IS HEAVY …
I hosted a group coaching + celebration call for my peeps today and shared about a beautiful woman named TRINITY in my local community who was nearing the end of her journey with cancer. How we don’t know how much time we have here on earth … how all we have is NOW.
Well, I learned a bit ago that Trinity took her last breath today. She’s a mom (around my age) with 3 young children. Her family owns the printing company where I get my printing done for live events. I used to see her there everytime we would get our materials printed … except this year because of her illness.
She was a WARRIOR in every sense of the word, and I’d like to dedicate the Business Adventure Summit that I am offering up to the world to her.
I posted on her Facebook wall about just how much I learned from her. She had melanoma that spread throughout her body. She then became a vocal advocate for taking care of your skin (and the harmful effects of tanning beds) and going to the dermatologist for skin checks. I did that just yesterday …
Trinity was on a powerful MISSION and FULFILLED IT.
I’m so grateful to have known her in the small way that I did. Although I didn’t know her well, I felt like I was supposed to have her in my life in some capacity. Like she was there to teach me something.
Powerful indeed.
After my sister passed, I used to wonder why I was STILL here and SHE wasn’t. Oh, that truth hurt so bad!
Here’s what I’ve learned.
My mission isn’t over yet.
And tough as it was to accept, my sister Julie fulfilled hers in only 12 years during this lifetime. She was such a strong, courageous girl! She did so much in her 12 years … and here I am 37 years old and still fulfilling mine.
Who knows how long I’ll have? Who knows how long you’ll have?
Don’t keep putting things off.
Don’t keep shortchanging yourself.
Don’t keep waiting for the “perfect time.”
All you have is NOW.
May my words for TRINITY inspire you to APPRECIATE EVERYDAY. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. LIVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY TODAY.
“May you fly high with the angels, dear Trinity. Though we didn’t know each other very well, I was always touched by your presence and energy. Your vulnerability and courage in sharing your journey with cancer will be remembered by all who love you and will love you forever. You’ve changed lives! You are a warrior!
Just yesterday I was at the dermatologist getting a mole removed and asking more questions of the nurse than I had in the past. I felt empowered taking charge of my health – knowing your story and how you’ve shared your lessons learned so bravely. Your message has saved the lives of countless people. The ripple effect is massive!
May God continue to hold your family and friends during this time of grief.
My sister Julie Ann will be there to greet you in Heaven. She too knows the cancer journey well and was the strongest person I’ve ever known. You two brave ladies have a lot in common!
Thank you for what you taught me … and graciously guided me to remember about what truly matters in life.
Amazing grace, love and light, beautiful Trinity. Rest in PEACE.”
