It’s my final morning in Costa Rica.

I’m sitting outside on my balcony in my comfy plush robe listening to the birds and roosters do their thing (I’m going to miss them!).

The view in the distance is stunning.

I came here to hold space for my mastermind clients to transform and rise higher in their work.

What I didn’t realize when I got here is that I came here to heal and get clarity about the next steps on my journey.

Last year was the most financially successful year in my business. I’m proud of that. We tested a lot of things to see what works and what doesn’t.

More than $40,000 worth of Facebook ads, oodles of Facebook livestreams, 5 free Challenges, 4 live events, VIP Days, webinars, and close to 100 podcast episodes.

A LOT of creation and growth.

A LOT of time invested.

A LOT of people helped.

And in the last quarter of the year: BURNOUT.

Burnout from the chase.

Burnout from shaky boundaries.

Burnout from working through a major parenting challenge with my oldest son Sean while simultaneously leading a very complex launch of Get Gutsy Coach Training School.

As we ended the year, I simply knew that I could NOT continue doing business and life in that same way for 2017.

No effing way.

My body was starting to feel weak.

I was angry and tired.

This weeklong retreat in Costa Rica could not have come at a better time, not just for me, but for my clients.

Oh, the layers that were shed. The tears. The epiphanies. The healing.

I got back to my roots: COACHING THROUGH A SPIRITUAL LENS.

I led sacred circle, journeywork, meditation. Used essential oils, sage, palo santo and fire. Built altars. Called in angels, spirit guides and healers.

Gave valuable feedback as each client went to the front of the room (usually barefoot) to deliver their talk that will help them attract more juicy clients.

Coached my clients to pivot. And surrender. And attract more of what they want while saying NO to what they’ve outgrown.

My people are all going home with a plan to bring in sacred sales, confidence that it can be easy and fun … and a deep connection to their soul.

As for me, I’m going home healed. Lighter. And focused on who I REALLY am.

As my client Christine Dyan described me, I’m a “business coach and spiritual guide all in one.”

It’s so easy to follow the crowd. Listen to the noise. Forget your true essence and what you LOVE to do and are fucking great at.

When you are growing a business, you feel like there are a million things to do to be successful.

When you strip all the noise away, typically what you need to focus on is this >> understanding your ideal client and selling them what they want AND what is in alignment with your greatest gift.

In one word: SALES.

Yes, there are important strategies and tactics that support selling, but sales is what you need to be looking at.

I don’t want you to get overwhelmed by all of the options out there – list-building, podcasts, telesummits, videos, blogging, retreats, social media, livestreams, live events, masterminds, challenges, ads.

OMG – head spins, right?

Less is more here. It’s the way of the essentialist.

This retreat in Costa Rica started out as a divine download in a Kundalini yoga class last summer. I heard the message loud and clear, “Jenny, it’s time to lead a retreat in Costa Rica.”

I hope my story is living proof that when you work with Spirit in your business, you will live a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Honestly, there is no other way. This is the way.
