Do You Suffer From Fear of Missing OutHi, my name is Jenny, and I’m NOT offering a B-School Bonus 😎

Have you heard of B-School? It’s EVERYWHERE right now on Facebook and very likely in your inbox promoted by your fave coaches and teachers who are program partners.

It seems to be a very solid program (many of my good pals are proud alums!), but I never felt the urge to go through it myself … in spite of the amazing bonus packages being offered every year and the brilliant marketing campaign (truly, some of the best marketing I’ve ever seen).

I have definitely considered it (it’s hard not to when you see it promoted by SO many smart people), but decided to take a different path that was more “me.”

This message is about zigging when it seems like everyone else is zagging.

It’s about following your Inner Voice and Gut even when you feel like a loner and rebel.

Even when you have FOMO (fear of missing out)!

I did this my first week of college as a freshman at the University of Florida when I dropped out of Sorority Rush after a day and a half.

Even though I fit the “sorority girl” image to a T (varsity cheerleading captain, yearbook editor, senior class secretary, magna cum laude graduate), I just wasn’t feeling it.

My sister Julie had died 1 year earlier and I couldn’t deal with the word “sister” being tossed around so nonchalantly even if these gals meant it. I was too broken inside.

Some of my best friends I met my freshman year were in Kappa Delta and convinced me to Rush my sophomore year.

I submitted my application again, paid my application fee, got my KD friend to create a special photo poster of me so the sisters could look out for me during Rush … and then … proceeded to drop out days BEFORE Rush even began.

My Inner Voice told me it wasn’t my path. It simply didn’t feel right even if my decision felt a bit lonely and weird.

Instead I got very involved in an organization that fired me up called the Public Relations Student Society of America, eventually becoming Secretary, then President.

UF had the largest chapter in the nation and it was an amazing place to meet “my” people, learn, and carve out my career path.

I credit my involvement in PRSSA with allowing me to land my huge internship with Porter Novelli, a global PR agency in NYC, the summer after my junior year. I had never been to NYC before I interviewed for the position.

PN offered me a full-time position once I graduated. I ended up spending the first 4 years of my career there developing communications campaigns for Kellogg, Hershey, M+Ms, and Pfizer. I also learned the value of client service, creativity at all costs, and the magic of company softball teams.

From there, I had a solid foundation to make my own way and create my own rules.

The LESSON is this: listen to your WISE SELF about what is best for you.

There are many paths to The Promised Land.

P.S. If you feel you’re being called to the COACHING industry as your career or a supplement to what you’re doing now, but aren’t sure how to actually BE a COACH …

(You’ve got questions like:

How do you hold the space during your client sessions?

How do you onboard clients?

What do you charge?

How do you work with clients?

What technology do you need?

What policies and procedures will keep you in business?

How do you actually get clients?)

… then you’ll want to keep your eyes open for what I’ve got brewing.

I’m looking for a gutsy crew of women who are ready to step into the next generation of COACHES who are changing the world with their GIFTS.

Enter your information below if you want to get on our early notification list when my COACH TRAINING IMMERSION is open for enrollment.
