So if you’ve been in this online business game long enough, you might come to associate February with what I like to call the Marketing Olympics.
One of the major players in this space – Marie Forleo – markets her signature program called B-School every February. And she has A LOT of heavy hitter affiliate partners on board helping her spread the word (you’ve probably received at least one email about B-School, am I right?!).
And now a newer player on the scene named Kimra Luna also promotes her program in February called Be True Brand You (BTBY). While Kimra is newer in this space, she’s super smart.
These gals have it GOING ON when it comes to marketing, branding and serving. They truly are at the top of their game. And mad props to them as it ain’t easy pulling off launch campaigns like theirs and doing it with grace, heart and hustle.
And it’s interesting to me because they are running VERY different races yet both carry a HIGH level of complexity, movable parts and team.
Fascinating to watch from a business perspective!
To be honest with you, I haven’t gone through either program but I’ve THOUGHT about it.
But when I analyzed my decision, I considered signing up not because I truly felt like either program was the best next move for my business (I got into this online business world in 2009), but because of something else:
FOMO (fear of missing out)
I didn’t want to miss the party!
Growing up, sitting at the cool kids lunch table and going to all the parties was REALLY important to me. Like really important.
So much so, that I would IGNORE my own wisdom on what felt right just to be included.
